Delivery to your premises and collection of your empty cylinder on the same run is included. There is no depot trip and no separate collection charge. Trade accounts with flexible pricing are available for businesses ordering on a regular schedule.

Yes — 47kg propane cylinders are designed for outdoor storage. They must be kept upright, away from heat sources and ignition points, and stored in a ventilated area at ground level. Current UK regulations — including DSEAR 2002 and the LP Gas Association Code of Practice — require LPG cylinders in commercial settings to be stored outside or in a purpose-built ventilated cage.

Cylinders should be kept at least 1 metre from building openings such as doors, windows, and air bricks, and at least 2 metres from site boundaries. Eastern Gases can supply a safety data sheet with delivery if needed.

Run-time depends heavily on the appliance. A single high-output catering burner (around 12kW) will use approximately 1kg of propane per hour at full power — propane's calorific value of roughly 12.9kWh per kg means a 12kW burner consumes just under 1kg per hour. At that rate, a 47kg cylinder gives approximately 47 hours of continuous full-output use. In practice, accounting for variable output and heat-up cycles, real-world run-time is typically somewhat less — enough for a busy weekend event or several days of moderate commercial use. For continuous daily operation, many businesses keep two cylinders and rotate.
Yes. Our drivers deliver 47kg cylinders by hand with a trolley to ground-floor access points. If your delivery address has steps, a narrow entrance, or restricted access, let us know when ordering and we will advise on what is practical. We cannot carry 47kg cylinders above ground floor.

The 47kg Flogas propane cylinder uses a standard POL type connection — a left-handed thread fitting standard across commercial propane cylinders in the UK. If you already use a 19kg or 47kg commercial propane cylinder from any supplier, your existing regulator and hose will almost certainly be compatible — the POL type connection is consistent across commercial propane cylinders regardless of brand.

If you are connecting to new catering or heating equipment, specify a POL type connection when ordering the regulator and hose. This fitting is not the same as the clip-on connections used on domestic cylinders (21mm for butane, 27mm for leisure propane) — do not use a domestic clip-on regulator on a 47kg commercial cylinder.
