LPG cylinder storage in commercial premises is governed by DSEAR 2002 and the LP Gas Association Code of Practice. Cylinders must be stored outside the building or in a dedicated, ventilated, fire-resistant store, away from ignition sources and emergency exits. Cylinders in use on forklifts inside the building must be secured upright and the quantity held inside must be minimised. Eastern Gases can supply a safety data sheet with delivery.
Yes — the ACME valve connection on the 18kg Flogas cylinder is the standard forklift LPG fitting in the UK, compatible with virtually all counterbalance propane forklift trucks including Linde, Toyota, Jungheinrich, Crown, Hyster, and Yale. The ACME valve is the industry standard for LPG forklifts and is not brand-specific. If your truck has been retrofitted or uses a non-standard regulator, confirm the connection type with your engineer before ordering — but the vast majority of UK warehouse forklifts will accept the standard ACME fitting.
No — the 18kg FLT cylinder uses an ACME valve, a forklift-specific connection that is not the same as the standard POL type connection found on commercial propane cylinders such as the 19kg and 47kg. Standard commercial propane regulators will not fit this cylinder without a specialist adapter. If you need commercial propane for market stalls, outdoor catering, construction heating, or similar trade use, the 19kg or 47kg Flogas Commercial Propane with a standard POL connection is the correct product. The 18kg FLT is designed specifically for LPG forklift trucks.
